Vicky Gonder behind killing of bouncer?

CHANDIGARH: On Sunday, dreaded gangster Vicky Gonder, who had escaped from the Nabha high security jail in November last year, had mocked Punjab Police by openly stating on Facebook that he would soon commit a sensational crime.
Barely 24 hours later on Monday , bouncer Amit Kumar alias Meet, who Gonder had allegedly threa shot near the Saketri temple in Panchkula district, raising the suspicion that Gonder's Facebook threat was for Meet.
The 32-year-old bouncer was shot by unidentified assailants on Monday afternoon, when he was heading towards his car, parked near the temple. His mother was with him. Police officials said two or three armed men in a car fired several shots at Meet. He died at the PGI in Chandigarh later in the day . Sources told TOI that they suspected that one of Gonder's associates, Surjit, was behind the killing.
In fact, Surjit is believed to have tried to kill Meet twice before first at a gym in Chandigarh's posh Sector 26 in July last year and then in November in Mohali. An old enmity is to be the reason behind Meet's killing. In his Facebook post in Punjabi, Gonder had said, “Asi sab apni dushmani karkey karde paye haan, jehda kam asi karange, usda pata aap sab no lag hi jayega (We are fixing our enemies, whatever we will do, it will be known to everyone),“ he wrote. The post was updated on his FB page at 8.45pm on Sunday .
This was his first ever post after escaping from Nabha jail in Novem ber 2016.
In a daring jailbreak on November 27, 2016, 12 to 14 armed men had entered the high security Nabha jail and escaped with alleged terrorist and Khalistan Liberation Force (KLF) chief Harminder Mintoo. Along with Mintoo, five gangsters, including Gonder had escaped. Although Mintoo and the other men have been arrested, Gonder has managed to evade the cops.
